For the 2023 summer season, NarroWay Productions is proud to kick off our Dance and Aerial Arts training program. During our nine-week session, students aged three to adult will have the opportunity to take dance classes in ballet, jazz, and lyrical, and aerial arts classes in lyra, silk, and sling. We are also excited to offer aerial strength training and pre-pointe classes. Our students will learn the principles and technique of each style, as well as how that style is part of musical theater as a whole.
Our preschool ballet/jazz classes will focus on understanding movement and employing it in a creative way, while learning basic ballet and jazz technique. In our older dance classes, students will learn essential, fundamental technique, with a focus on core skills. They will then progress to learning combinations and short routines to build their performance skills and ability to understand choreography.
In our aerial arts classes, students have the opportunity to train on three apparatus, lyra (hoop), sling, and silks. These are the most widely used apparatus' in aerial performance and will give our students the essential technique needed to train at a higher level to go on to performance. Whether a student is looking to pursue aerial arts as a performer or simply build strength and flexibility, our classes are the right choice.
