Imagine if there were an activity that would help your child foster creativity, fortitude, self-esteem, friendship and stamina right here in Charlotte.

When Mission Grit™ owner and Founder, Paul Plotkin, moved to Charlotte, he brought with him years of working with children in this capacity coupled with his background in the military to create Charlotte's ONLY facility that merges all of these things into a fun, active, non-competitive space where kids can learn the benefits of teamwork and perseverance through classes, camps and private events.

Mission Grit™, located at 6311 Carmel Rd in Charlotte, provides programming based on 4 levels of development: Physical, Mental, Social and Character Development. All of its camps and classes are 100% developmental and they are designed to shape a strong mindset. Some of the benefits include:

  • Develop motor skills, coordination, and adaptation
  • Enhance strength and balance
  • Gain high levels of confidence
  • Elevate self-esteem
  • Develop strong social skills
  • Noncompetitive environment
  • Discover personal leadership voice
  • Adopt positive disciplines
  • Develop analytical mind
  • Adopt “I can”  vs. “I can't” mindset
  • Learn to control anger
  • Embrace failure
  • Feel a sense of accomplishment
  • Increase focus
  • Identification of deficiencies and transforming them into strong qualities
  • Develop an active thinking mindset
  • Develop effective reactions in high speed environment

This fall, sign your child up for any one of Mission Grit™'s no-school camps, or take advantage of a longer programming option this winter with its Winter Break camps.  If you're looking to make a more significant impact and introduce these incredible disciplines into your child's regular routine, The Xplor™ after school program combines military-inspired obstacle courses, fitness exercising, adventure scenario-based creative team-building challenges and sensory development elements. Our classes are very dynamic, high-paced and help children develop a strong mindset. Each week we present a new sets of challenges, alter the obstacle course movement and fitness tasks. Our students can't wait to come to every class to discover new exciting activities.

Not sure this is right for your child? While Mission Grit really is appropriate for all children (7+), as they meet kids on their level and help elevate them to the next, you can always drop in for a trial class. And if you're looking for something to do while school is out this fall, make sure to register now for no-school camp and winter break camps , as spots are filling quickly.
