2024 Come See Me Festival Opens on April 11th

10 MUST-DO Events at Come See Me Festival for Kids!

By Fort Mill Macaroni Kid April 8, 2024

Come-See-Me Festival is one of our family's favorites in Rock Hill - mostly because almost everything is kid-friendly. But, as with anything, we have our favorites. Check out these 10 events that you won't want to miss during Rock Hill's annual Come-See-Me Festival! And, don't forget to enhance your child's experience and sign them up for the Tadpole Club!

Come-See-Me Festival Parade: April 11 @ 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Who doesn't love a parade? My kids love parades so much that they will seek them out on YouTube, so this is a no-brainer. From amazing old cars to all your favorite emergency trucks and vehicles, parade princesses and pageant queens, the parade is a must-do. The fun will start just before the train tracks on Oakland Avenue heading towards Main Street. The route will turn right onto White Street then left into the Wells Fargo parking lot, followed by another left onto Main Street where it will finish up around Fountain Park.

Musical Mania: April 12 @ 4:30 - 6:30PM
Enjoy beautiful Fountain Park while children experience a variety of music and hands-on play with an assortment of instruments.

Chalk on Main: April 12 @ 4:30 - 7PM
A free chalk drawing event for all ages. Express yourself or enjoy others' creations!

Beach Bash: April 12 @ 4:30 - 6:30PM
A night of beach music, food, and fun! Bring family and friends to enjoy the sounds of Gary Lowder and Smoking Hot on the Founders Federal Credit Union Stage. Food trucks and restaurants will be onsite. This will happen at 155 W. Johnson St., Rock Hill.

Mayor's Frog Jump: April 13 @ 10AM - 2PM
This TOAD-ally hoppin' event brings together things my boys love: reptiles and celebration! Bring your favorite hopper along, or borrow one of theirs - you'll want to make sure your little kermit is ready to win because prizes will be awarded! Registration begins at 9:30 AM

Healthy Kids Zone: April 13 @ 10AM - 12 PM,  Rock Hill Velodrome ~ 100 Riverwalk Parkway
Family-friendly outdoor activities including trike and bike races around the Velodrome, fun fitness dance sessions, sports inflatables, and face painting. Grab their bike helmet because kids can bring their bikes or ride one of ours!

Sundays with Mother Goose: April 14 @ 2 - 5PM
While my boys may be a little older now, they did love the story-times in the gardens. Bring snacks and let your littles enjoy the beautiful Glen Carin Gardens while listening to some favorite stories!

Teddy Bear Tea Party: April 17 @ 4-5 PM
Is there anything sweeter than littles and their lovies? YES! And that's a tea party filled with them. Children are encouraged to dress for tea (hats welcome) and bring their own Teddy Bear to the tea party with them. One parent or guardian per child is requested due to space. The children will have photo opportunities with Glen and Glenda and all children will sit down for “afternoon tea” with their bears and friends shortly after 4pm. Reservations are required and attendance is limited to the first 100 children.

Everything Trucks: April 20 @ 9AM - 12 PM
When the boys were little, we could spend hours searching for trucks around town. And watch out! If we happened across a construction site, we'd be there for days! Come-See-Me has taken the search element out and made your life easier. My boys still love this at 6 and 8! This touch-a-truck event will allow your children to explore a wide variety of massive trucks and first responders. It will be loads of fun, so round up your crew and truck on over to see this amazing truck party at First Baptist Church.

Tailgate & Fireworks: April 20 @ 3:30 - 10PM
The festival finale at Winthrop Lake never disappoints and it is bigger and better than ever!! Bring the family, don’t forget your coolers and grills* and join us for Come-See-Me’s Tailgate Party & Fireworks. As always, there will be live entertainment from 3:30-10 pm on the Founders Federal Credit Union Stage, then our annual fireworks show to close out the night. Make sure you get there in time for the skydiving exhibition and the barbecue (we’ll sell till it runs out)! The fireworks begin at 9. Entry is $5 for adults over age 21; parking is available at Winthrop for $5.
