Fill Their Easter Baskets with Stuff They'll LOVE!

10 Local Shops For Basket-Filling Success

By Rachael Weiss ~ Publisher March 28, 2022

After talking with a bunch of mamas, I realized I was doing baskets ALL wrong! Most, if not all of my friends, fill theirs with Spring and Summer necessities (bathing suits, rain boots, umbrellas, goggles, sun hats,) and pepper in cute Easter keepsakes, jewelry and other smaller items. So, with only a few weeks left, you better get hoppin' and fill those baskets. If, like us, you love to keep things local - here are 10 spots in the Greater Charlotte area with the BEST Easter basket swag.

Toys and Sweets, located at Park Road Shopping Center has pre-made baskets ready for you to just grab and go as well as all the smaller items you may want to make your own. Need some outdoor toys? They have it! Items for summer camp like water bottles and clip boards, they have those too! Plus they have a great selection of new squishmallows and fidgets, candy and sweets!

The Mercantile's new space at 153 E. White Street in Rock Hill has an eclectic array of gifts for everyone ranging from the bitty-babies to your more discerning teens. Books were a top item on most Easter basket lists and they have a great selection of new titles for kids, along with stuffies, bath items, bibs and other travel needs.

Besties Boutique on Independence in Indian Trail is a collaboration of many different vendors with lots of items from which to choose. We know most little girls love a good hairbow, so why not pick up some of these sweet ones and add them to your basket of sugar and spice and your everything nice!

Toy Mania at the Cotswold Shopping Center in Charlotte has these adorable keepsake personalized Easter Eggs. I know some families like to collect them and this is one of those special gifts that truly make memories! Also available: water toys, bug collecting kits, and all the spring/summer play essentials you need to make memories with your kiddos.

We love the Refresh Gift Shop on Main Street in downtown Waxhaw. Grab some bath bombs or coloring books, even some lovely tea towels for yourself - this sweet locally-owned mom/daughter duo always know how to make your recipient feel loved.

Spring means sun and sun means SUNNIES! Check out these adorble sunglasses available at Lemon Lime in Baxter Village! This shop focuses on the tweenagers we love so much and has some really great options for both boys and girls. Also available in-store: bathing suits, summer shoes, rain gear and hats. Your tweens will love the selection and you'll love the options, too!

How cute are these? We love the stuff that Charlie on Park carries - especially these sweet Easter-themed jewels for your kids. You can order online and pick-up locally. Can't beat that! Easter jewelry not your jam? No worries, stackable bracelets and earrings are the rage right now - so grab a stack and add to your little or big girl's basket.

Swoozie's in the Sharon Corners shopping center across from Southpark Mall has so many adorable things to fill any basket. From stationary to rain hats, there's lots to make your kiddos smile here.

My kids are obsessed with the bath bombs from Soak Bath and Body in downtown Fort Mill. They particularly love the Harry Potter sorting bomb and the rainbow bath bomb that creates the most beautiful bathwater ever. Have a bigger kid? Lots for them to love too - lotions, bath salts, shampoo and conditioner bars, facemasks - they have it all!

Don't forget to consider shopping one of the best kids consignment for your basket fillers - from bathing suits (we know summer stuff is clutch) to rain gear, toys and books, Karrousel Kids is always sure to help you save big while bringing home all the stuff they want and need.
