Holy TWOS Batman! This year it's all about that TWO ~ February 22, '22 falls on a TUESDAY and that makes it a perfect day to honor our second number, the number 2. We know we've had fun days, but this one is TOO much ;-)
If, like me, you are also looking to make it a fun day at home, or in school (for you teachers), here are 22 ways to make an ordinary Tuesday into a SPECTACULAR TWOSDAY.
- Wear “tutus”
- Dress up as famous pairs
- Write up all the funny sayings about twos (two peas in a pod, double trouble, etc,)
- Draw or write about what you’ll be doing in 22 years
- Grab your rackets and play some DOUBLES
- Read aloud the book Tuesday by David Weisner
- Chew on Double Bubble Gum
- Shoot 2-Pointers in the driveway
- Go volunteer at a retirement home in pairs
- Eat a Twix
- Make a playlist of songs that include the number two
- Take the stairs 2 at a time
- Do exercises in sets of 22 (jumping jacks, squats, pushups)
- Share “2 great things that happened today” at dinner or bedtime
- Create a scavenger hunt for items found in twos
- Send in (or do at-home) noisemakers and streamers for a dance party at 2:22PM
- Stock up on snacks like Little Debbies or Hostess Twinkies
- Have a Taco TWOsday with two kinds of tacos - one savory and one sweet
- Hide $2 bills around the house and send them out hunting
- Send in "pears" (get it ~ PAIRS) for lunch
- Give your kiddos new #2 Pencils
- Twin with your kiddo
The next opportunity for a fun day like this is 11 years away - 3/3/33 - so go ahead and have some fun.
