Dear YoCo - the ever-growing and changing beacon of love you are,
I never thought I'd be able to call any place besides Chicago "home," but here we are - 11 years into living in the Charlotte area and there's no place I'd rather be.
Watching you grow and change has been one of the most amazing things in my 11 years here. From new developments to businesses entering this market, we are no longer a "suburb" of Charlotte (or Columbia) - we are our own metropolis. We have some of the best restaurants in the area; we have museums; we have great shopping and breweries. Our schools - filled with some of the best teachers on earth - are a magnet, drawing families from near and far. Our parks are second to none - boasting an incredible inclusive playground at Miracle Park. We have hiking, biking, boating, wakeboarding. We have state parks.
But above all else, we have community. We have a deep love for one another. We have support, grace and understanding when things are challenging.
I love the life I am able to live here and the opportunities I can give my children. And I love you all.
