Is there anything better than treating the kids to an ice cream cone on a hot summer day in York County? We can't think of one.
Luckily, We have a lot of great locally-owned ice cream shops in Fort Mill, Rock Hill and Tega Cay where we can indulge in yummy goodness. Here are 10 of our favorite places for ice cream in Lancaster and York County:
Two Scoops Creamery Rock Hill
161 W Main St. Suite 102 | Rock Hill
What we love: While newer to Rock Hill, this Charlotte-area staple is one of the most loved ice cream shops we've visited. We love the selection and that its next to Common Market; grab lunch and then a treat. Simply the sweetest!
Bruster's
2603 West Hwy 160 | Tega Cay
What we love: All flavors are made in-house and there are so many options. Plus, kids under a certain height get a free cone!
Pelican's Snoballs
108 Springs Street | Fort Mill
975 E Liberty St | York
What we love: The Cream mixture with some of these refreshing snoballs are my favorite, but my kids love the ones with the special surprises inside like the "Gone Fishin"
PW's Ice Cream
491 South Herlong | Rock Hill
What we love: It's made fresh daily - need we say more? Also - get the ice cream cakes; they are amazing.
Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard
857 Stockbridge Dr | Fort Mill
What we love: Having lived in New York and growing up in the midwest, Italian Ice and Frozen Custard are our favorites!
Milkster Nitrogen Creamery
2024 Bridgemill Dr, Ste 112 | Fort Mill
What we love: Premium ice cream and creative flavors make this a favorite spot for sure!
Sweet Frog
572 John Ross Pkwy, Ste 105 | Rock Hill
962 E Liberty St | York
What we love: One word - TOPPINGS!!! Everyone can get their own combo and it's perfect.
TCBY
940 Market St Suite 118 | Fort Mill
What we love: Reminds me of my childhood - we went to TCBY every Friday night with my parents over the summer. Still love it!
The Peach Stand
1325 Highway 160 W | Fort Mill
What we love: A local institution, if you ask us, this is one of our favorite spots for a cold treat. AND while we are there, we usually hit up the butcher and produce section, too!
