It's been a tough 12 months for my kids. We are used to being out and doing; from museums to birthday parties, dining out to major attractions. But this year, none of that happened.
While kids are resilient - I keep reminding myself that - I have been feeling really bad about it lately. I know they miss doing things. Yes, family time is amazing, but there are only so many walks and nature trails we can hit before they start missing the fun we used to have adventuring around town.
When I heard about the Own the Park option at Adventure Air Sports in Rock Hill, I knew it would be the most perfect Valentine I could give my kids. Couple that with a day with their "fauxsins" (fake cousins) and we knew that it would be the Best. Day. Ever.
Working with Adventure Air Sports couldn't have been easier. You can either call them and talk with Erin Rumsey (the manager) or you can reserve on their website. For $259 you and up to 9 friends can jump for 1 hour and for $319, you can jump for 2 hours. The park can hold 180 people, and additional jumpers are $18 each. If you'd like to add on party options, those are also available! Own the Park is available all day Monday and Tuesday, before and after hours on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, and before hours on Friday.
We really had the best time as a family, jumping, hanging and laughing. The kids particularly liked the zip line (so did we!) and the battle stations. And we were able to relax, knowing that the facility had been cleaned top to bottom literally hours before we arrived and that we were the first ones in that day. Adventure Air Sports is following CDC guidance and is asking its patrons to also adhere to the same. You can find a full list of Adventure Air's health and cleaning protocols HERE.
I know that this may seem like a little extra to some of you - and I get it. We just weren't ready to kick it up with a large group. That said, if, unlike me, you are ready to mix and mingle with the masses, Adventure Air is open 12-8 Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, 12-10 on Friday, and 10-10 on Saturday.
