Black History Month: Book Suggestions from the York Co. Library

Join YCL for its Read Woke Challenge

By Fort Mill Macaroni Kid February 8, 2021

It's Black History Month, and while Black History is all our history, this month we are focused on sharing book suggestions to help you talk about how our history has gotten us to this present day. These titles were selected by York County Library staff to be a part of YCL’s Read Woke challenge, in partnership with Zoobean and Read Woke librarian and creator, Cicely Lewis.

With so many wonderful books, we encourage you to join us in celebrating these Authors and their stories. Most of these selections are available to checkout through the Library’s catalog and/or through our Virtual Library resources such as Hoopla and Overdrive.
