The Totally Cool Winter Reading Challenge is back! This winter, York County Library joins Zoobean in partnership with sponsor Simon & Schuster’s Books Like Us program for Beanstack’s Annual Winter Reading Challenge. We challenge York County to read at least 1 million minutes as we compete with libraries and schools across the nation for a chance to win 1 of 8 virtual author visits and other prizes, shared among the top-performing libraries and schools. Let’s light up the mind this winter! Happy reading and stay safe, York County!
To join the Winter Reading Challenge, register online or at any YCL location, and use our fun, interactive Beanstack service to receive digital badges and book recommendations as you progress! See the FAQ for details, and read more about the challenge below.
If you have registered with Beanstack during one of our previous reading challenges, you do not need to register again. Simply sign in to your account to begin the new challenge.
How the Winter Reading Challenge Works
Totally Cool Winter Reading Challenge: All Ages
Beginning December 14, start tracking your reading progress online. Read or listen to anything you want (or choose a title from this year's participating authors), then log your time in Beanstack. Once you've logged your first five hours, stop by any YCL location by January 31 to pick up a prize. You don't have to stop at five hours of reading! For every five hours logged, you'll receive one entry to win the Totally Cool Grand Prize! You can earn up to five entries into the drawing.
