I’ve only ever had one Christmas Tree in my life - when I was in college. I had three Christian roommates my senior year and we decided that I needed to experience the full joy of the season - so we trekked out to a tree farm and cut down our own tree! It was actually one of my most favorite college memories! But I also learned a valuable lesson: never EVER put the tree INSIDE your car - EVER. I had an SUV and the largest car in the bunch - so we took my truck and put the small tree in the back of it. I was finding pine needles until I sold the car 10 years later!

Cedar Lake Tree Farm ~ Iron Station, NC
This farm is located half-way between Stanley and Lincolnton at 5829 East Hwy 27, Iron Station, NC. and offers choose & cut Virginia Pine trees up to 8′ tall and mountain-grown Fraser Fir trees from 5′ to 10′ tall. Cedar Lake also offers a climbing hay mountain, farm animals and a general store. They are now open up until Dec. 20, with daily hours from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays; and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays. Find out more on their website here.
Lutz Christmas Tree Farm ~ Clover, SC
This relatively new tree farm offers customers to cut their own Leyland Cypress trees and also has pre-cut Fraser Fir trees available for purchase. The farm was originally planted by Brian and Jamie Lutz, who planted their first tree in 2006 and Thanksgiving Day 2009, they first opened for business. Penland Christmas Tree Farm ~ York, SC
The Penland Farm is located at 6457 Campbell Road, York, SC. They also offer choose & cut Virginia Pine trees up to 8′ tall and mountain-grown Fraser Fir trees from 5′ to 10′ tall Virginia. Grace Tree Farm ~ Denver, NC
Roughly 26 minutes from Charlotte, this tree family-owned tree farm is open year-round and offers White Pine, Leland Cypress, Carolina Sapphires, Green Gian Arborvitae and pre-cut Frasier Fir options. They are open Friday through Wednesday; Weekdays and Sundays are 1Pm - Dark and Saturdays are 8:30A - Dark. The farm is located at 1292 Beth Haven Church Road in Denver, NC 28037. Pinetop Farm ~ Salisbury, NC
Pinetop Farm Choose and Cut offers a special Holiday experience. While normally they offer hayrides, due to covid this year this is not possible. However, they do provide a bow saw for you to pick your special tree in addition to Premium Fraser Fir precut trees. The farm is open November 21 - December 19th on Saturdays (8:30AM- 5PM) and Sundays (12 - 5PM). Almond Christmas Tree Farm ~ Albermarle, NC
In addition to pre-cut Fraser Firs, you can cut your own tree at Almond Christmas Tree Farm beginning Thanksgiving day. YOu will need an appointment, so please call them at 980.521.1188.
