In a year that's been filled with much disappointment, anxiety and loss, it's often hard to find the silver linings. I know I am guilty of saying things like "this year has sucked," too. But really, when I look at this from a different lens a few things have happened:
- I've grown closer with my husband: In our 10+ year marriage, we've never spent this much time together. Take it for what it's worth, but we've grown so much closer.
- I really SEE my kids for who they are and love them more: I didn't know that was even possible to love these small humans more than I already did. I know that they need space to grow, away from me, but for now - getting to spend time with them and explore and learn is pretty cool.
- I have gotten to know you all so much better! Each week, I am able to better gauge what you want to read and from whom you want to hear - and that has made a world of difference. I feel a renewed sense of purpose this year and I have you to thank for it.
So as we enter this week of giving thanks, I am sending you all love, peace and happiness - and a bountiful feast of gratitude.
